The boys report that a verbal altercation started at the Shell gas station at S. Taylor and Blanche. One of the boys involved later went to Beechwood Avenue to find the other teens, bringing along O’Neal and his gun.

Police went to his home, where O’Neal’s father let them search. They saw a jacket in the home that matched the description of the shooter and asked O’Neal’s father to call him.
