Teen Shot In Cain Park Area

The 18-year-old from Cleveland is listed in stable condition at MetroHealth Hospital, and police are investigating

said an 18-year-old from Cleveland was shot Monday night in the area.

At 8:19 p.m., police received three 911 calls from people reporting that they heard gunshots in Cain Park near the skate park. Officers arrived and said they learned a man had been shot and ran away toward Superior Road, according to a press release about the incident. Suspect(s) fled toward Superior Parkway.

The victim was found at South Pointe Hospital "a short time later," according to police, and suffered gunshot wounds in his forearm and right torso. He was later transported to MetroHealth Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.

Police arrested an 18-year-old man from Lyndhurst, but he has not been charged. Police are still investigating.
