While paramedics took her to Hillcrest Hospital for her nonlife-threatening injuries, Cleveland Police spotted the boy driving the Volvo on the westbound lanes Interstate 90, Williams said.

Officers tried to pull him over but the boy drove away at speeds approaching 100 mph and crashed.

The boy was treated for his injuries at Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital. Then he was released to police custody.
