Teens, 20-Year-Old Arrested, Charged With Shooting Police Officer With BB Gun

Callers reported that the group was driving up and down Lee Road shooting people with a BB gun.

received several calls that men were driving a Jeep up and down Lee Road and shooting people with a BB Gun just before 2 a.m. May 14.

A Cleveland Heights police officer was patrolling the 2200 block of Lee Road on foot when he was struck by the suspects, as was another citizen walking nearby.

Police arrested a 20-year-old from Cleveland Heights, an 19-year-old from Cleveland Heights, a 18-year-old from Cleveland Heights and a 16-year-old from Garfield Heights and charged them with simple assault, menacing, possession of criminal tools and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

No one was seriously injured, police said.
