Teens Charged in Theft at Stone Oven

Four Cleveland Heights teens are accused of stealing a customer's phone and laptop.

Four Cleveland Heights teens are accused of stealing a Stone Oven customer's laptop and cell phone at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 8.

The 15- and 16-year-olds ran into the Lee Road store and grabbed the man's computer and phone, police said. The incident was caught on surveillance cameras installed around the business district, and police arrested the boys at various times after the crime.

The group has been charged with grand theft and violating curfew, as anyone under 18 is not permitted to be in the Cedar Lee District past 6 p.m. (with exceptions for work, school activities, patronizing businesses and others.) Police also said they found items stolen from cars on one of the boys, so he has been charged with receiving stolen property.
