Woman Charged With Child Endangering After Leaving Kids Unattended in Car

A police officer reported the incident at 6:42 p.m. Aug. 9 after hearing the children, who are 3 and 4 years old, screaming for their mom, according to police reports. The windows were open slightly.

The children said she had been gone for a few minutes. The officer tracked down the woman, who also said she had left them for just a few minutes. She said she asked her kids to stay in the car and watch a movie. The report did not indicate whether the car was on.

The kids were turned over to the woman's sister at the scene, and the mother was arrested and charged with child endangering.
