A woman called at 12:43 a.m. July 19 and said she woke up and saw a woman she didn't know kneeling beside her bed.
The resident, who lives on the 1600 block of Coventry Road, asked the woman what she was doing in her home.
The stranger responded, "This is not Brittany's house?"
The woman said no, the stranger had the wrong place, and asked how she got in.
The woman responded that the back door was unlocked, and said she wasn't trying to break in. Then she asked the resident if she could use her phone to call a couple of people. The resident allowed her to make a few calls.
When police arrived, the intruder was gone. The report did not indicate if police would investigate further or if anyone found "Brittany."
Reports compiled from call logs and information from the Cleveland Heights Police Department.
