Woman Walks Into Burglary In Progress

The resident told police she heard footsteps and at first thought it was her husband.

A woman told that she thought her husband was home early when she walked into her house and heard footsteps.

But she soon realized that she had walked into the scene of a burglary.

She saw the garage door open and started to investigate. A black Mercedes had backed into the garage, and when she walked out, a suspect jumped into the car and fled. As he pulled away, the woman saw some of her and her husband's belongings in the car.

She reported the incident on the 3100 block of Euclid Heights Boulevard at 12:53 p.m. July 18.

Police are still investigating and had a warrant out for the suspect's arrest as of July 25.
