If the levy doesn’t pass, the district would be forced to cut at least $7 million from the budget, said Scott Gainer, chief financial officer for the district, in recent meetings. The levy would increase taxes by $211 every year for every $100,000 in property valuation.

Schubert and Jeff Talbert, assistant superintendent, will lead the rally. She said the literature drop will cover the entire district Saturday. After the event, the group will watch the Heights High Tigers football team at 2 p.m. at home.
