City Council to Consider Selling City-Owned Properties and More

  • City Council members will consider authorizing City Manager Robert Downey to sell the city-owned home at 3979 Bluestone Road, which was rehabilitated with funds from the city's . The city received $2 million through the federal program, which addresses the foreclosure crisis by granting money to local governments to buy abandoned, vacant and foreclosed homes, repair them and turn them around for sale. The dollars also can be used to demolish homes that can't be saved. The city will also consider selling the property at 3144-3146 East Derbyshire Road.
  • Council members will also consider sending a resolution to the U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate urging them to continue to fund the and the Home Improvement Partnership programs. 
  • The city will also review an agreement to hire Mackay Engineering & Survey Company to inspect city culverts and to complete the Ohio Department of Transportaion Bridge Inspection Reports and Bridge Inventory Form.
