Jason Stein Takes Over for Mark Tumeo

Cleveland Heights City Council appoints Stein at Monday night's regular meeting

Members of Cleveland Heights City Council nominated, voted in and  to council at Monday night's regular meeting. 

Stein replaces former Council Member Mark Tumeo, who  at the end of March. His was May 16, but he swore Stein in at Monday's meeting. 

Stein will fill in for Tumeo until at least the end of 2011, but must run and be re-elected in November to complete the term, which ends Dec. 31, 2013.

Stein's wife, Shimona, their five children and several members of his family came to see the official appointment. Council chambers was packed with at least 60 people, and some stood out by the door and out in the hallway.
