Beaumont School To Break Ground On Science Annex Next Month

Groundbreaking for the expansion is planned for late September with completion anticipated during the 2014-15 school year.

The Beaumont School plans to spend more than $9 million to build a new science annex at its campus in Cleveland Heights, reports Cleveland.com.

The STEM building -- which stands for science, technology, engineering and math -- is expected to be a two-story, 25,000 square foot facility connected to the west side of the main building, Beaumont Principal Mary Whelan told the newspaper.

The Cuyahoga County Port Authority announced it will issue more than $8 million in bonds to the private all-girls Catholic school to help pay for the project.
