CH-UH Schools Hires New Human Resources Director

Paul Lombardo has been named the new Director of Human Resources for CH-UH Schools. He replaces Nylajean McDaniel, who was recently appointed superintendent.

The Cleveland Heights - University Heights School District has hired a new human resources director, a result of the recent superintendent shake-up.

Paul Lombardo has been named the new Director of Human Resources for the district. He replaces Nylajean McDaniel, who was recently appointed superintendent after Douglas Heuer resigned in June.

"I’m really looking forward to having Mr. Lombardo join our administrative team," McDaniel said about Lombardo. "He brings to us substantial experience, clear abilities, and a high level of professionalism, and I know he will make a great addition to this District."

Lombardo will manage the human resources department and he will serve as the chief administrator for all personnel matters.   

Lombardo previously worked for the Willoughby-Eastlake School District, serving as principal of Willoughby South High School since 2005 and, before that, as assistant principal of Eastlake North High School (2003-2005), and as the principal of middle and high school Summer Schools (2002 and 2003).

Between 1992 and 1999, Lombardo taught math and coached football at a number of schools including Eastlake Middle School, Mayfield High School, Notre Dame Cathedral Latin High School in Chardon, and Maui High School in Maui, Hawaii.

In 2012, Lombardo was named then Lake County Administrator of the Year. In 2009, he was named the Ohio School resource Officers Association Administrator of the Year. He has also received the Good Samaritan Hero Award from the Lake County Association of Chiefs of Fire.  

Lombardo received his bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University and his administrative high school, elementary principal and superintendent licenses from Cleveland State University.  

He is currently pursuing his Doctorate of Education from Northcentral University in Arizona.
