Geology Walking Tour

Dr. Joseph Hannibal of the Cleveland Museum of Natural History will lead you through the study of rocks and minerals found in The Lake View Cemetery.  Cemeteries preserve historical and geological legacies and at The Lake View Cemetery, those legacies can be read in headstone materials and inscriptions, and in features of the geologic and man-made settings.  This tour will include the southern part of the Cemetery including the old bluestone quarry and a visit to the Garfield Monument.
