Harvey Pekar - A Literary, Library Life

The Heights Library was the home-away-from-home for author and graphic novelist Harvey Pekar. We'll honor his body of work and his connection with the library with a Literary Landmark plaque and statue dedication ceremony, followed by a presentation from artist JT Waldman. Waldman will share stories, both personal and professional, about working with Pekar at the Lee Road branch to research
their collaborative work, Not the Israel My Parents Promised Me. Copies of the book will be for sale. This event is part of the Octavofest celebration.
