Walk or Bike to School Day in Cleveland Heights / University Heights

Let's do it again! Join with students throughout the Heights in walking or biking to school on Transportation Day – Tuesday, October 18, of No Impact Week. Cleveland Heights and University Heights are the perfect places for kids to navigate, with sidewalks, cross guards, and low automobile speed limits.

To assure safety, practice the route with your child, accompany him or her, or arrange for a group of students on your block to walk or bike together. They will have fun, solidify friendships, and arrive at school alert and ready to learn. And for bicycling, don't forget a properly fitted helmet and a lock! Make sure you read and download these important safety tips Thanks to your school’s PE teacher, the Cleveland Heights Bicycle Coalition and Reaching Heights for supporting Walk or Bike to School programs. QUESTIONS? Call Mary Dunbar (321-1335) or Nancy Dietrich (371-9379).
