Heights High Softball Team Fundraising for New Field

Lady Tigers to play on new field this spring; raising money for fencing, dugout covers

The Heights High Fastpitch Team could use some help getting on the field this spring.

The team is selling iPad 3 raffle tickets and collecting donations to pay for the second phase of construction on the team's new softball field at Washington Boulevard and Goodnor Road next to CHHS.

The Softball Booster Club and the CH-UH School District broke ground on the new field last month and the Boosters have raised money for the new backstop, dugouts, bullpens and infield renovation.

The second phase of the project will be to build outfield fencing, dugout covers and to mount a scoreboard.

To enter the raffle, buy a ticket from a softball player, at a Heights High sporting event, or mail a check to Cleveland Heights Fastpitch Club, 2981 Lincoln Blvd, Cleveland Heights, Ohio 44118. Tickets must be purchased by February 15 and the winner will be drawn at the Feb. 22 boys' basketball game.
