School District Hires New Coordinator Of Career and Technical Education

Jay Hobbs III is the school district's new coordinator of career and technical education and partnership development.

The Cleveland Heights-University Heights City School District has hired Jay Hobbs III as coordinator of career and technical education and partnership development.

"We are very excited to have Jay Hobbs join our team," Superintendent Nylajean McDaniel said. "His willingness to collaborate with staff, to develop partnerships within our community, and his steadfast commitment to preparing all students to matriculate and graduate from college, makes him an excellent addition to the CH-UH City School District."

Located at Cleveland Heights High School, the coordinator of career/technical education and partnership development will recruit students for participation in the Career/Technical Education Consortium, encourage program innovations, pursue funding opportunities, and create and sustain partnerships with community partners for purpose of enhancing student Pathways.

Hobbs has worked as an academic & organizational strategist in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, and before that in the private sector. Hobbs graduated from Florida A & M University with an degree and an MBA.
