School District Honored For Communication Efforts

The Cleveland Heights - University Heights School District was honored recently with 10 state and national awards for its communication efforts with parents and the community and large.

The district was honored with awards from the Ohio School Public Relations Association and the National School Public Relations Association.

"We are extremely grateful for this recognition," said Angee Shaker, director of communications.  "We work very hard to ensure that our parents and residents have accurate, up-to-date information about the great things that are happening in our schools.  These awards are welcome and exciting, but our real recognition comes in our community."

The district was honored for a number of its efforts, including the website, facebook page, school calendars, newsletter a kindergarten informational video and other promotional items.
