State, Regional Choirs Select Students from Heights High

The vocalists will participate in the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Chorus and the Ohio Music Educators Association 2012 All State Choir

Eight students from were selected to be members in the Ohio Music Educators Association 2012 All State Choir. More than 600 auditioned, according to the announcement posted on the Cleveland Heights-University Heights City School District website.

The students selected to participate in the choir will perform at the state music convention in January, and they are:

  • Garth Bennett
  • Geoffry Golden
  • Amber Jackson
  • Heather Morrison
  • Joey Nicoletti
  • Madeline Pollis
  • Andrew Reynolds
  • Taylor Young

In addition, 10 Heights High vocalists were chosen to participate in the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Chorus, which selects students from 40 school districts.

The students will perform a free memorial concert at 5 p.m. Sept. 11 with the Cleveland Orchestra in Public Square, and they are:

  • Michael Judge

  • Midori Marsh
  • Heather Morrison
  • Cornelius Pewu
  • Madeline Pollis
  • Andrew Reynolds
  • Jacob Vail
