VIDEO: Noble Elementary Collects More Than 1,000 Stuffed Animals for Providence House

Students collected bears and other stuffed animals so that children at Providence House would have "something to hug"

Students in all grades at and teachers collected more than 1,000 bears and other stuffed animals for children in need. 

Sean Sullivan, a fifth-grade science teacher at Noble Elementary, first started the tradition at . This was Noble's first year participating in the collection.

The school celebrated the students' work Dec. 21 with a special visit from Cleveland Heights Mayor Ed Kelley. A few students and teachers delivered the bears Dec. 22 to Providence House, a Cleveland-based organization that assists children who have experienced homelessness, abuse, neglect or other crisis situations.
