WATCH: Beaumont Student Stands Up for Female Engineers

Beaumont freshman Ana Maria Vargas has some choice words for anybody doubting that women can succeed in engineering.

Beaumont High School's "Deus Ex Machina" robot nearly fought for a championship in its creators' first year of competition at RoboBots. The girls were sponsored by Solon-based Christopher Tool & Manufacturing Co.

Their strong performance led to a strong statement from freshman Ana Maria Vargas, who was asked about the capabilities of women in a field many still associate with men.
