Cleveland Heights' Dodson Earns Top AP All-District Honors
Jones makes second team, Tigers have strong showing in awards
The Cleveland Heights football team’s and earned players plenty of mentions on the 2011 Associated Press Northeast Lakes All-District football teams.
Tigers senior tackle and Wisconsin recruit Kyle Dodson earned first team in Division I, while the do-everything senior quarterback and punter Bryce Jones earned second team honors at defensive back.
Junior receiver Shelton Gibson made third team, along with senior offensive lineman John Johnson and senior defensive lineman Christian Cartwright.

Offensively, sophomore Marcus Bagley and junior Braxton Gamble both made honorable mention at running back as did junior receiver Dorian Hudson. Senior lineman Densel Pillers was also an honorable mention.
The Tigers finished the regular season at 9-0 after defeating 2010 Division II state champion Maple Heights, 20-12, on the road to close the season and won the Lake Erie League title. But the Tigers to 2010 Division I state champion St. Edward, 28-14, at Crawford Field.
