Cleveland Heights Girls' Lacrosse Game Moved to Wednesday

Bad weather cancels Monday's game with Perrysburg

The Cleveland Heights girls’ lacrosse home playoff game against Perrysburg has been rescheduled for 5:30 p.m. Wednesday after canceled Monday’s game. The teams will still play on Cleveland Heights' football field.

If , they still face a game Thursday as originally scheduled against either No. 2-ranked and defending Division I state champion Medina or Shaker Heights in the regional final of the Ohio Schoolgirls Lacrosse Association Tournament.

The site and time of the regional final is to be determined, and if the regional final isn’t played on Thursday, it will be rescheduled for May 31, Tigers head coach Terry Saylor said.

Saylor said many of the players competing in the OSLA Tournament are also participating in this weekend’s Women's Division National Tournament held at Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, NY, preventing the regional final from being moved to Saturday.

The Tigers (9-6) are ranked No. 1 in Ohio according to laxpower.com, and  in their OSLA opening-round game on Wednesday. Perrysburg (8-4) defeated Westerville North, 24-14, in its opener.
