Thanks for coming and taking some great pics. Also, thanks for mentioning it on Patch. We had a bunch of people that came because they read it here first.
Of course, Peter! Thanks for reading and your comment. I'm glad we were able to help spread the word, and that Jason Stein mentioned it at the council meeting. It was a great event.
Thanks, Michelle, for covering this story and spreading the word. My family and I really love living in Cleveland Heights, and this Cain Park July 4th parade was a local event with such positive energy and spirit for the good of our city. I hope this event will be repeated next year and maybe grow with more getting involved gradually. By dressing up, decorating her bike, parading, and then congregating afterwards in the play area and meeting some new friends that live here too and love the Heights, my young daughter was able to experience something really wonderful. This city has so much that is positive for us to enjoy. Thanks to all of you out there who help add to that positive energy!
Agreed. New site is much too busy and/or confusing. Old format was easy to navigate and follow…Read More certain stories , a very cumbersome ordeal now. Thumbs down on the change.
I agree. I had even been tempted to start a blog just before this new and "improved"…Read More layout. No longer interested in doing that - can't find anything on this patch.
That's odd. I was at the previous meeting, my first - on Global Warming, paid dues for the first…Read More time ever, wrote down my e-mail more than once, and still had no idea there was a meeting was last night.
Diane, for what it's worth, I believe FutureHeights has announced their intention to have a meeting…Read More where the community can discuss ideas for Severance.
Along those lines, Diane, I thought an indoor greenhouse would be a good idea. Classes on how to…Read More create gardens, grow food, store and preserve food would be an asset to the City.
Diane H. Dreizen & bachtobroadway42 - what interesting ideas! I'd love to see the whole mess…Read More raised and the area turned into a public park/recreation area with walking trails, bicycle paths, community gardens, etc. It seems the wind turbines could be in a place like that too. That's my dream, but we'll probably get some hideous redundant commercial development instead.
