SEGOP Host Budget and Levy Meeting

South Euclid Republicans will be hosting a meeting on South Euclid Budget and the Upcoming Safety-force Levy. The meeting will take place on Monday, September 23 in the Community Room at South Euclid City Hall, 2nd Floor. The meeting will begin promptly at 7pm and will end in time for the start of the City Council Meeting.

The agenda for the meeting is focused on the local budget and the Safety Force levy on the November ballot. We have a great panel of speakers committed to speak to these issues, offer their opinions, and present possible solutions for the future of South Euclid's budget and financial woe's.

Councilman Dennis Fiorelli: Mr. Fiorelli will speak towards the current city budget, possible efficiencies and savings to the current and future budgets, and his opinion on the safety force levy added to the November ballot. Dennis will provide his stance and answer questions on both the levy and the budget in general.

South Euclid Professional Firefighters Union President Dan Deers: Mr. Deers is a 22-year veteran of the South Euclid Fire Department and serves as President of the South Euclid Professional Firefighters Local 1065. Mr. Deers represents SEFD Firefighters & worked directly with the administration on the most recent contract concessions preventing the mayor's plan of laying off firefighters prior to the Safety Force levy vote in November.

Jesse M. Smith: Mr. Smith is the Northeastern Ohio Field Coordinator for American's for Prosperity. AFP-Ohio stands with 92,000 active Ohioans who support Small Government, Lower-taxes, & Individual Freedom issues; Mr. Smith has been tasked with opening a Northeast Ohio field office and promoting the AFP philosophy throughout the region. Jesse will lend his expertise towards local budgeting and provide insight on how we can use the ideals of free markets and lower taxes here in South Euclid.

We invite our South Euclid neighbors to come and listen to our speakers, ask questions, and form their own opinions on the current budget situation and the upcoming Safety Force Levy. There will be time for Q & A for all of our speakers and we look forward to an insightful, open, and engaged conversation on the extremely important issue facing the residents of South Euclid.
