While I have used Mandel Vet for many years, I will no longer be going there. In the past two years I have been getting more involved in my pet's healthcare and have been asking more questions. Regardless of whether I inquired about alternative shot routines, at-home treatments or homeopathic therapies my questions have consistantly been dismissed. The only anser to every health problem has been costly tests and medications regardless of the situation and every question I have asked has been dismissed.
I even had a dog die under their negligence. I brought in a puppy for a check up and it had sniffles. When inquired about it's lungs or sinuses we were severely dismissed saying it was nothing. A week later that dog died in my arms. Autopsy revealed that ithas died of an infection through it's whole body; including severely the lungs.
When I recently asked for a non-antibiotic treatment for ear mites and ssuggested that I may find a holistic vet who listens more I recieved an insulting e-mail telling me my concern over their pracices and my concern for the health of my animals was me "playing doctor". It was the most unprofessional thing I have heard in years. If this letter had been from a real doctor at a hospital they would have been fired.
After having my concerns ignored for so long and even loosing pets to their extreme negligence I will be finding a vet that actually listens to and answers questions that clients make in a professional manner.
