Roxboro Elementary School was founded in 1901 and has been at its current location since 1921. The Roxboro ElementaryMore School motto, "Respect, Responsibility and Ready to Learn," is displayed on posters by entrances throughout the school. Students see it when they walk in and leave each day, serving as a reminder of the academic and behavioral expectations of the Roxboro staff.

Like other schools in the district, there is now a SMART Board in every classroom and a room designated for science. This year, Roxboro added a Mandarin Chinese language class as part of its regular curriculum. Both the elementary school and the middle school next door offer RoxArts, a program that provides classes in music, dance and fine arts and opportunities to attend cultural events and performances.

The Intergenerational School offers free public charter education for students in kindergarten through the 8th grade.More The school is located at the non-profit campus Fairhill Partners and most students are from the Cleveland proper and East Cleveland neighborhoods. The school utilizes multi-age classroom structures. Each class has 16 students in it with a 3 to 4 year age span between students. Each student moves at their own learning pace and moves up to a new grade level only when fully ready.
