Support Family Connections By Dining At Anatolia Cafe

Fifteen percent of the proceeds from your meal at Anatolia Cafe Thursday will go toward supporting the Cleveland Heights and Shaker Heights organization

If you grab a bite to eat at Anatolia Cafe at 3 p.m. or after Thursday, 15 percent of the proceeds from your meal will support Family Connections. The "Savor and Support" program applies to take out and dine-in meals. The organization, formerly called the Heights Parent Center, has playrooms for families in both Cleveland Heights and Shaker Heights. Kids and parents have the opportunity to spend time together with games and toys that foster learning and prepare young children for school. Patrons must present the flier (included with this article) to have 15 percent of your bill to benefit organization. Go to familyconnections1.org to find a copy to print.

Teen Who Attacked Man Outside of Anatolia Café Sentenced to 7 Years

Cleveland Heights Mayor Ed Kelley spoke at the hearing today and asked that he receive the maximum sentence

A 17-year-old from Shaker Heights charged with attacking a man outside of Anatolia Café was sentenced to seven years in prison today. Edwonte Bryant pleaded guilty Jan. 18 to felonious assault after originally entering a plea of not guilty in October. Maria Russo, spokeswoman for Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Bill Mason's Office, said felonious assault charges carry two to eight year prison sentences. He was also sentenced for breaking into two houses in Maple Heights on March 31. Bryant pleaded guilty to burglary, theft and receiving stolen property charges Jan. 18. He faced a maximum of 28.5 years in prison for all charges if he would have received the maximum for all and served them consecutively, according to prosecutors. Cleveland …

A 17-year-old from Shaker Heights charged with attacking a man outside of Anatolia Café will be sentenced Tuesday. Edwonte Bryant pleaded guilty Jan. 18 to felonious assault. He originally pleaded not guilty in October. He will also be sentenced the same day for breaking into two houses in Maple Heights on March 31. Bryant pleaded guilty to burglary, theft and receiving stolen property charges Jan. 18. He stole flat-screen TVs, shoes, a computer and other electronics and items, according to prosecutors. He faces a maximum of 28.5 years in prison. A 17-year-old from Shaker Heights charged with attacking a man outside of Anatolia Café pleaded not guilty Friday. On June 18, prosecutors say the teen attacked a man. The 56-year-old victim was having dinner with his wife and two others at the restaurant on Lee Road before the attack occurred, said Ryan Miday, former spokesman for the prosecutor's office, in July. They saw a group of teens outside and decided to wait a few minutes before leaving.  When they walked out, the suspect jumped out from behind a bush, turned around to a group of his friends nearby and said, "Let's do them," Miday said.  The man told the group to back off, and he, his wife and two friends began to quickly walk away, trying to avoid a confrontation.
