Burglaries and break-ins in the city reported between Feb. 27 and March 5

The Cleveland Heights Police Department are investigating burglaries and break-ins that have occurred in the city. If anyone has information regarding any crime listed in this article, he or she is encouraged to contact the police department at 216-321-1234. The first occurred on Feb. 28 in the 2200 block, the thief (or thieves) entered through an unlocked door and stole cash from inside. A neighbor said they saw an unfamiliar 6-foot white man with a heavy winter coat and hat in the area at about the same time as the crime. Then, on March 4, a burglar broke into the basement of a home on the 2300 block and stole a laptop computer.

The Cleveland Heights Police Department are investigating burglaries and break-ins that have occurred in the city. If anyone has information regarding any crime listed in this article, he or she is encouraged to contact the police department at 216-321-1234. Somebody climbed onto a small roof structure and broke into one of the home's second-floor windows. The burglar used another window to exit. The only thing the homeowner found missing was a jar of change. They stole copper piping and a jewelry box. They also left behind two bags of comic books, according to police. The Cleveland Heights Police Department supplied the following information. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. Police investigating armed robbery at CVS Feb. 18, 11:35 a.m. -- Cleveland Heights Police are trying to locate a man who used a gun to rob the CVS drug store in the 3800 block of Monticello Boulevard. The man was about 5'10," according to witnesses. He wore a black coat, a gray hooded sweatshirt and a gray skull cap that said "NY." He may have left in a white 4-door compact sedan. The Cleveland Heights Police Department are investigating burglaries and break-ins that have occurred in the city. If anyone has information regarding any crime listed in this article, he or she is encouraged to contact the police department at 216-321-1234. The thief kicked in the door and took two Dell laptops, an iPod Touch, a Canon camera and pearl necklace. A teenager -- thought to be 14 to 16 years old -- was spotted breaking into the home. Anyone with more information on the burglar is encouraged to call Cleveland Heights Police. Someone kicked in a door while nobody was home. Though the entire bedroom had been rifled through, all the homeowner found missing was some cash that had been left on the dresser, according to police. …

The Cleveland Heights Police Department supplied the following information. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. Child on bicycle collides with car Feb. 10, 3:58 p.m -- A 10-year-old boy on his bicycle collided with a car that was driving in the 3500 block of Bainbridge Road. The boy had a bloody nose and other non-life threatening injuries from the crash, police said. He was taken to Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital for treatment. The woman driving the car told police she was only driving about 20 mph when the bicycle shot across the road, and she didn't have time to avoid it. The Cleveland Heights Police Department are investigating burglaries and break-ins that have occurred in the city. If anyone has information regarding any crime listed in this article, he or she is encouraged to contact the police department at 216-321-1234. A burglar (or burglars) had taken five necklaces, two watches -- including a Cartier timepiece -- and other jewelry. The robber took a laptop, power cord, Nintendo Wii, two Palm Pilots, jewelry, foreign coins and even a child's piggy bank. The Chelsea break-in was discoveredon Feb. 8; the Newbury theft, Feb. 11. Man Accused Of Flashing A Knife, Himself During Robbery

The victim said Tyrone Johnson also banged on his chest as he stole two cell phones from the Dollar General

A man is accused of flashing both a knife and himself while stealing two cell phones from the Dollar General in Cleveland Heights. On Feb. 6, a store employee told Tyrone Johnson that the Dollar General was closing. Johnson then pocketed two cell phones and walked out of the store. When she tried to stop him, Johnson pulled down his pants, showed her his genitalia, pullled out a pocket knife and banged on his chest, according to Cleveland Height Police Department. Johnson ran away but Cleveland Police found him nearby. He had two cell phones on him but no knife. The store employee then identified Johnson as the man who robbed her, police said. Johnson was arrested and charged with a count of robbery.

The Cleveland Heights Police Department supplied the following information. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. Suspect arrested in breaking and entering Jan. 31, 12:13 p.m -- Cleveland Heights Police arrested one of the two men suspected of trying to break into a home in the 3300 block of Desota Avenue. A neighbor spotted two men trying to kick in the door and called police for help. The suspects fled south onto Compton Road and officers followed. Police arrested Darryl Roberts near the intersection of Blanche and S. Taylor Road. The witness identified him as one of the suspects, according to Cleveland Heights Police. A 50-year-old man from Shaker Heights was arrested and has been charged with felonious assault after Cleveland Heights Police said he bit off part of a man's right ear. The victim was standing near the 2200 block of Lee Road smoking a cigarette around 10:30 p.m. March 14 when he said a man he knew got out of his car and started punching him. The Shaker Heights man is then accused of taking a chunk of the victim's ear with his teeth. Woman charged with breaking beer bottle over another person's head A 47-year-old woman from Cleveland was arrested and is accused of breaking a beer bottle over another woman's head. Police Arrest Burglary Suspects, One With Loaded Gun

Cleveland Heights Police arrested four teens and one man and charged them with burglary

On Friday, Cleveland Heights Police arrested five burglary suspects, including a 16-year-old from Cleveland Heights who was carrying a loaded handgun. The teen was also charged in an arson on Nelaview in December. He was sent to Juvenile Detention but was released shortly after and then fled. He had been on the run ever since, according to Cleveland Heights Police. A 17-year-old from Cleveland Heights, a 16- and 17-year-old from East Cleveland and a 21-year-old from Cleveland were also arrested and charged with burglary on Friday in the Coventry area. Police recovered jewelry, alcohol, game systems and other items from the suspects, and believe they may have been involved in more than one burglary. Police are still investigating.
