Stranger found sleeping on porch March 13, 8:10 a.m. — A Woodmere Road woman woke up to an unfamiliar man sleeping in a chair on her enclosed front porch. Police charged the man with criminal tresspassing. Copper pipes stolen from home March 13, 1:28 p.m. — A caller reported that there was an open door at a home on the 1000 block of Allston Road. When police arrived, they found that copper pipes were stolen from the home. Burglaries, break-ins reported March 13, 7:03 p.m. — A burglary was reported at 2214 Tudor Drive. Report: Drunken woman breaks home window, takes child Jan. 17, 12:42 a.m.  — A man called police after he said his child’s mother came to his house on the 900 block of Montford Road. He said she was drunk and broke a window of his home and then drove away with their two-year-old child. Police located the suspect and charged her with drunken driving and child endangering. Boy, 10, Charged With Breaking and Entering

Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. 10-year-old boy among two arrested for breaking and entering Dec. 9, 3:58 p.m. — Police responded to a report of three males trying to break into a garage on the 3300 block of Altamont Road. Police arrived and found one suspect, a 10-year-old boy, riding his bike, and another, a 15-year-old male, on the porch of the home next door. Both were arrested. Doors found damaged at N. Taylor Road home Dec. 9, 6:19 p.m. — A resident of the 2100 block of N. Taylor Road reported that the doors to their home were damaged, but nothing was stolen. Cleveland Heights Police Blotter: Resident Finds Man in Garage

Man fled but police found him shortly after

A Cleveland Heights Boulevard resident returned home March 30 to find a man in his detached garage. The 31-year-old man fled, but police found him later.  Two laptops and a BlackBerry were stolen from a building on Hampshire Road and reported March 31. Police say the door was unlocked Eleven video games, a PlayStation, laptop and iPhone were stolen from a home on Superior Park Drive and reported April 4.  Copper plumbing and sinks were stolen from a vacant home on Bainbridge Road and reported April 4.  All information compiled from police call logs and information from the Cleveland Heights Police Department
