Stranger found sleeping on porch March 13, 8:10 a.m. — A Woodmere Road woman woke up to an unfamiliar man sleeping in a chair on her enclosed front porch. Police charged the man with criminal tresspassing. Copper pipes stolen from home March 13, 1:28 p.m. — A caller reported that there was an open door at a home on the 1000 block of Allston Road. Report: Drunken woman breaks home window, takes child Jan. 17, 12:42 a.m. — A man called police after he said his child’s mother came to his house on the 900 block of Montford Road. He said she was drunk and broke a window of his home and then drove away with their two-year-old child. Police located the suspect and charged her with drunken driving and child endangering. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. 10-year-old boy among two arrested for breaking and entering Dec. 9, 3:58 p.m. — Police responded to a report of three males trying to break into a garage on the 3300 block of Altamont Road. Police arrived and found one suspect, a 10-year-old boy, riding his bike, and another, a 15-year-old male, on the porch of the home next door. Both were arrested. Doors found damaged at N. Man fled but police found him shortly after
A Cleveland Heights Boulevard resident returned home March 30 to find a man in his detached garage. The 31-year-old man fled, but police found him later. Two laptops and a BlackBerry were stolen from a building on Hampshire Road and reported March 31. Police say the door was unlocked Eleven video games, a PlayStation, laptop and iPhone were stolen from a home on Superior Park Drive and reported April 4. Copper plumbing and sinks were stolen from a vacant home on Bainbridge Road and reported April 4.
