CH-UH School District, Parents Propose Ideas So Kids Can Take iPads Home

More than 100 people attended a meeting Nov. 15 to discuss ways to make the take-home iPad program safe.

In response to more than a dozen thefts of school-issued iPads, the Cleveland Heights-University Heights School District decided in October to collect them from middle school students and not allow them to take them home. But the school district would like the students at Monticello, Roxboro and Wiley to be able to safely take their iPads home with them again. The district hosted a meeting asking parents, residents, city and school officials for their input and ideas. More than 100 people attended the community forum Nov. 15 and shared suggestions, according to an article in The Sun Press. Get a big dog for each student. Otgher than that, I believe that there are various locks and security codes and trackers that can be put on an iPad.   more ›
