Cain Park Neighborhood leaders are looking for volunteers to help pilot a program to allow leashed dogs in Cain Park. The Dog Project, spearheaded by Kerri Whitehouse of the Cain Park Neighborhood Association, is a pilot program that would allow dog owners to walk their leashed, non-aggressive dogs in Cain Park beginning in April. The project is seeking a temporary lift on a dog ban that has been in effect in Cain Park for four decades, according to project leaders. A similar program in Lakewood resulted in a ban being lifted in two parks in 2011.
