Cleveland Heights Police arrest two boys accused of stealing laptop from locked home

Police arrested two boys aged 12 and 14 after they said the boys burglarized a Monticello Road home. Officers were called to a home on the 3500 block April 30 by a resident who said someone entered her home and took a laptop. The woman said that two boys had helped her with yard work the day before and she invited them into her home. Police questioned the boys, and they admitted to going back to the home on April 30 and breaking in to get the laptop.

Police: Men Tried to Steal $13,000 from Wal-Mart

Two men was captured and arrested after police say they were spotted by an off-duty officer.

The Cleveland Heights Police Department supplied the following information. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. Two men were arrested at Wal-Mart after police say they filled up a backpack and shopping cart with items and tried to steal them. Police say that an off-duty officer spotted a car just before 3 a.m. Dec. 28* that matched the description of a vehicle store employees had told him had been involved in thefts before. Two men from the car entered the store and the officer monitored them. According to the report, the officer saw one man wearing a black backpack that he did not come into the store with. He tried to talk to the man and the man fled. The officer chased the man into the garden center…

Man Charged With Drug Trafficking

Police make drug trafficking arrest Monday, Dec. 3, 12:12 p.m. — Police stopped a male for a traffic violation and smelled marijuana in the car. When they searched it, they said, they discovered marijuana. The man was charged with drug trafficking. Teen Arrested for Robbery at Church: Cleveland Heights Blotter

Cleveland Heights Police arrested a teen they believe robbed another at a local church.

The Cleveland Heights Police Department supplied the following information. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. A teen was arrested two days after police say he robbed another teen of his phone at a Cleveland Heights church. A teen male was playing basketball Nov. 28 in the parking lot of the Church of the Saviour on Lee Road when he said someone else hit him in the head from behind. The teen fell to the ground, and the assailant took an iPhone from the boy’s pocket. The suspect ran north on Lee Road with two other teens, police say.
