According to Cleveland Heights Police, Carlos Everett had a stolen iPod on him when police arrested him
Cleveland Heights Police have arrested a suspect in a pair of burglaries that occurred in the city earlier this month. The break-ins occurred in the 1900 block of Janette Ave. on Feb. 15 and 3600 block of Bainbridge Road on Feb. 16, respectively. The burglarized home on Bainbridge had a security system that filmed the burglar as he broke into the home. On Feb. 22, Cleveland Heights officers spotted a man who looked like the burglar on the security tape and was also wearing some of the same clothes, Cleveland Heights police said. When officers stopped the man -- 20-year-old Carlos Everett of Cleveland Heights -- he also had an iPod on him that had been reported stolen in the Janette Avenue burglary, police said. Burglaries and break-ins in the city reported between Feb. 13 and 20
The Cleveland Heights Police Department are investigating burglaries and break-ins that have occurred in the city. The thief kicked in the door and took two Dell laptops, an iPod Touch, a Canon camera and pearl necklace. A teenager -- thought to be 14 to 16 years old -- was spotted breaking into the home. Cleveland Heights Police are looking for the man who used a gun to rob the Dollar General on Lee Road last week. At about 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 13, a man put entered the store, put a gun to an employee's head and started making demands. He told nobody to move, called for a manager and demanded money. Witnesses described him as a light-skinned black man that was 18 to 20 years old. He had a slender build and was between six feet and six feet, three inches tall. He had a tattoo underneath his right eye and either another tattoo -- perhaps of a bar code -- or a bruise beneath his left eye. After the manager gave him money, he left the store. Cleveland Heights Police Department is investigating an incident in which a man was robbed of $25 and two bus passes at gunpoint. The victim said he was walking along the 2200 block of Edgewood Road on Saturday afternoon when three men approached him from behind. According to the victim, one of the men wore tan pants and a red jacket. He pointed a silver-colored revolver at him while the other two men -- who were wearing all black -- went through his pockets. The men took his money and bus passes. Then they ran away. Anyone with information regarding this robbery is encouraged to call Cleveland Heights Police Department at 216-321-1234.

A neighbor noticed Ra-Shon Everett trying to break into a home on Severn Drive Monday, according to police
An alert neighbor helped police catch a burglary suspect Monday afternoon. At about 2 p.m., he saw a man trying to get into a home on Severn Drive. At first, the burglar tried to use his shoulder to knock down the door. Then, he attempted to pry open a window, according to Cleveland Heights Police. The witness told police that the man spent about 20 minutes trying to get into the house. Furthermore, the witness knew the man didn't live in the home because he knew his neighbors. The would-be burglar gave up on breaking into the house and the witness called police. Child on bicycle collides with car Feb. 10, 3:58 p.m -- A 10-year-old boy on his bicycle collided with a car that was driving in the 3500 block of Bainbridge Road. The boy had a bloody nose and other non-life threatening injuries from the crash, police said. He was taken to Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital for treatment. The woman driving the car told police she was only driving about 20 mph when the bicycle shot across the road, and she didn't have time to avoid it. A burglar (or burglars) had taken five necklaces, two watches -- including a Cartier timepiece -- and other jewelry. The victim said Tyrone Johnson also banged on his chest as he stole two cell phones from the Dollar General
A man is accused of flashing both a knife and himself while stealing two cell phones from the Dollar General in Cleveland Heights. On Feb. 6, a store employee told Tyrone Johnson that the Dollar General was closing. Johnson then pocketed two cell phones and walked out of the store. When she tried to stop him, Johnson pulled down his pants, showed her his genitalia, pullled out a pocket knife and banged on his chest, according to Cleveland Height Police Department. Johnson ran away but Cleveland Police found him nearby. He had two cell phones on him but no knife. The store employee then identified Johnson as the man who robbed her, police said. Johnson was arrested and charged with a count of robbery.

A man is accused of propositioning his masseuse Sunday, Feb. 3 in Cleveland Heights and, then, lying to police about his name. Derrick Williams, of Cleveland, made an appointment with a massage therapist on S. Taylor Road that day. He paid her $60 and gave her his identification before the massage was to begin, according to Cleveland Heights Police. She then left the massage room. When she came back, Williams was naked and holding a condom, police said. He asked her to put it on him. She refused so he offered her another $60, police said. She told him he had three minutes to leave before she called police. Williams dressed and left, leaving behind his identification, police said. Suspect arrested in breaking and entering Jan. 31, 12:13 p.m -- Cleveland Heights Police arrested one of the two men suspected of trying to break into a home in the 3300 block of Desota Avenue. A neighbor spotted two men trying to kick in the door and called police for help. The suspects fled south onto Compton Road and officers followed.
