Cleveland Heights officials hope a few area students step into leadership roles for a soon-to-be-formed commission. The city is developing the Cleveland Heights Youth Advisory Commission, a group that will promote understanding and connectivity between the city and its young residents. The commission will consist of six students from Cleveland Heights High School and four from private, parochial or home schools in the area. According to the city, students on the commission will be accompanied by a Cleveland Heights Police officer, a Cleveland Heights High School teacher and a member from the city's Recreation Advisory Board.
