Staci Marshall, Erin Platt Schomisch, Rosie Mendes Ford and Angee Shaker shared their first-day-of-school photos when CH-UH students reported back Aug. 30. Cleveland Heights Patch was there for the first day of Canterbury Elementary, but because readers shared their own photos, our back-to-school gallery featured more students from more schools. Several Cleveland Heights neighborhoods host Fourth of July celebrations — share your photos from events this year and in the past.
Residents in several Cleveland Heights neighborhoods organize block parties to celebrate the Fourth of July. We wrote about a more than 50-year tradition on Ashton Road last week, and the photo included with this article depicts a Sycamore Road celebration from the 1920s. And the Cain Park Neighborhood Association has organized what many believe may be the first parade in Cain Park on July 4. Cleveland Heights Patch will visit some of the July 4th events Wednesday and snap photos, but to make a great gallery, we need your help. I was walking along North Park Boulevard last week when I saw a man walking four very well-behaved dogs. They were adorable, so of course I had to snap a photo. The man was so kind he grouped them together and asked them to smile. (They really look like they're posing, right?) And I had to share it with you. Two cats went missing Sunday, June 10, and someone posted information on Cleveland Heights Patch asking for readers' help.
