Cleveland Heights Police Arrest Robbery Suspect on Coventry

An undercover officer witnessed the incident.

An undercover Cleveland Heights Police officer witnessed a robbery at 2:30 p.m. Aug. 27 on the 1600 block of Coventry Road, according to police. The victim said that a man asked him for money. When he refused, he said the robber pulled up his shirt to reveal what the victim thought was a handgun tucked into his pants. An undercover officer in the area saw the incident and officers nearby stopped a man who matched the description.  The man was arrested but charges are pending, police said. The department is still investigating. Reports compiled from call logs and information from the Cleveland Heights Police Department.
