Tigers rally after pivotal timeout and run away with the win, 69-43, after game called early
EUCLID — Cleveland Heights High School boys’ basketball coach Barry Egan called a timeout late during the third quarter Friday night. His Tigers had started to misfire on more shots and throw away more passes and, in general, play without the same focus and drive they had showed off for much of the first half. He gathered them in a huddle and, shouting over the noise inside the Euclid High School gym, implored to play with composure. For the rest of the game, they did just that. But Egan had no idea the Tigers would need to keep their composure off the court, too. Great job to Coach Nick and Heights High AD for putting it together for the kids to compete on Saturday. The kids have worked very hard this season and deserved the chance to run for conference championships.   more ›
