Find out why everyone's talking about a photo taken by a Cleveland Heights Patch reader - and how you can put your own shots up for everyone to see!
This image has gotten quite a bit of buzz on Cleveland Heights Patch's Facebook page. I can see why! The amazing photo was taken by quick-thinking Patch user Christine McBurney in Cleveland Heights and uploaded to our community photo gallery. She saw the deer at her Rydalmount Road house in late December. "I saw movement out of the corner of my eye and I thought it was people jogging!" Barefoot and wearing pajamas, McBurney grabbed her camera and took just one shot of those eight deer — which, if you ask me, turned out great. She shared it on her own Facebook page, got a great response, and shared it with Cleveland Heights Patch. Several days later, I spotted it and thought it was so cool that I made it the cover photo on Cleveland Heights…

Cleveland Heights Patch readers have contributed hundreds of photos and illustrations to our Pics & Clips gallery. People have shared photographs of extreme weather, the Reaching Heights Spelling Bee, the first Cleveland Heights-University Heights Little Free Library, lost pets, events in Coventry and more. The more often people share photos, the better our Pics & Clips Gallery becomes. The most recent photos are from the first day of school for CH-UH students Aug. 30. Staci Marshall, Erin Platt Schomisch, Rosie Mendes Ford and Angee Shaker shared their first-day-of-school photos when CH-UH students reported back Aug. 30. Cleveland Heights Patch was there for the first day of Canterbury Elementary, but because readers shared their own photos, our back-to-school gallery featured more students from more schools. Many others have contributed to our neighborhood Pics & Clips gallery, and we appreciate it. The more photos we have, the more events we can capture and the better the gallery. So please share your own Cleveland Heights photos. It's easy! First, sign up to be a registered user on our site (if you haven't done that already). It's a free and quick process. I was walking along North Park Boulevard last week when I saw a man walking four very well-behaved dogs. They were adorable, so of course I had to snap a photo. The man was so kind he grouped them together and asked them to smile. (They really look like they're posing, right?) And I had to share it with you. Many others have contributed to this neighborhood gallery, and we appreciate it. The more photos we have, the better the gallery. So please share your own Cleveland Heights photos this summer. It's easy! Just click the "Pics & Clips tab" on the top of the homepage. Make sure you're signed in, and then select "Upload Photos & Videos." Thank you for sharing!

I live close to Rydalmount & have also been seeing lots of deer lately. They have even been bedding down in my back yard. There have been deer in the Park Synagogue area, but now I think a lot are coming from the Oakwood Country Club where they are now constructing a shopping center. When the construction first started, you could see deer wandering on Taylor Road looking lost. It is not unusual …   more ›
