St. Patrick's Day Fare: What's Your Favorite Corned Beef Sandwich?

We polled our Facebook users and now we want to know what you think of their favorites!

I got a hankering for a corned beef sandwich last week after reading an especially interesting police blotter item nearby and gave Jack's Deli a try. That sandwich was GOOD. But I wanted to know: is Jack's the BEST corned beef near Cleveland Heights? Where should I try next? Our Facebook fans weighed in: Slyman's and Jack's got, by far, the most votes, but there were mentions of Mr. Bristket's and even a few out-of-state favorites. What do you think? Let me know in the comments where you'll be going to get your corned beef fix this St. Patty's Day.

The Cedar-Lee establishment took the crown for this week's Readers' Choice

The results are in, and the award for best St. Patrick's Day destination in Cleveland Heights goes to ... Parnell's Pub! The Cedar-Lee establishment knows a thing or two about the holiday, and you can't chalk it up to the luck of the Irish. Owner Declan Synnott is from Ashbourne, County Meath, and moved to the United States in 1994. The bar opens at 7 a.m. and will offer entertainment thorughout the day, including performances from bagpipers and Irish dancers. Parnell's Pub snagged 55 percent in our poll. The Cedar Lee Pub & Grill and Nighttown landed second and third place. And Parnell's received a very kind review on its directory listing. "By far the best service, atmosphere and pint of Guinness in the Heights. Whether I walk in by …
