New retail wine store to occupy the former Seitz-Agin Hardware space
In May we reported that a Cleveland Heights couple planned to open a wine store just two months after the more than 20-year-old Grapevine shut down its business. It has been claimed that when one door closes, another always opens. Adam Fleischer and his wife, Susan, are now just a month away from opening their new store, The Wine Spot, which will be housed in the former Seitz-Agin Hardware building. The large space on Lee seemed to be a good fit for the Fleischers retail venture. After The Grapevine closed its doors recently at Cedar Fairmount, our town’s oenophiles were justifiably sad. But it has been claimed that when one door closes, another always opens. And when it comes to wine lovers in Cleveland Heights, it may be another door that’s about to open — to the sound of a cork popping. A new retail wine store, The Wine Spot, is the project of Cleveland Heights High School and CSU grad Adam Fleischer. Fleischer, his wife Susan and their two grade-school-age children have been longtime local residents in this community.
