Teen Charged With Stealing $20,000 in Jewelry in Burglaries

17-year-old Cleveland Heights male charged for multiple burglaries

Cleveland Heights Police arrested a 17-year-old male in connection with several burglaries in the city over the past several weeks. Detectives say the teen stole $20,000 in jewelry from a home on the 2200 block of Coventry Road on March 19 and sold some of it to a pawn shop, where police recovered it.  During a warrant search of the teen's bedroom, police found evidence from other crimes reported in the area, including a theft from mail on the 2100 block of Lennox Road, a burglary on the 2200 block of Tudor, a theft from a car on the 2200 block of Bellfield and an incident where a woman reported that two males shot a BB gun at her on Grandview Avenue. They also found marijuana and prescription drugs, they said. The teen has been charged in…

Cleveland Heights Police Blotter

String of Thefts From Cars Reported

Cleveland Heights Police are investigating the thefts from a Cleveland Heights street.

The Cleveland Heights Police Department supplied the following information.  Residents saw a string of thefts from their vehicles last week. Four residents reported thefts from or damage to their cars as they were parked near Noble Road and Monticello Boulevard Thursday morning, Nov. 29. The thefts were reported at the following addresses:  Three cars had items stolen and one car had damage.
