Two men driving near Sprangler and Greyton roads in Cleveland Heights on May 19 were ordered at gunpoint to remove their shorts and hand them over, according to the Cleveland Heights Police. Four people, including three 18-year-olds and a juvenile, were later arrested and charged with felony aggravated robbery, according to a police report. Adults charged were: Devon Jones, 18, Sade Hill, 18, and Shanena Stevens, 18, the report reads. The victims said a car pulled up next to them at about 11 p.m. on May 19 while they were driving and asked them for some "loud," a slang term for marijuana, reads the report. iWatch Northeast Ohio allows residents to report crime tips to dozens of police departments through texting, a phone call, and more — all in one app
Cleveland Heights Police now has one more avenue to receive crime tips from residents. The iWatch Northeast Ohio mobile app, free on iPhone, Blackberry, Windows and Andriod platforms, allows users to submit crime tips to dozens of police departments — in multiple formats — from a single platform. The app was developed by the Northeast Ohio Fusion Center, a partnership organization to fight large-scale crime that includes local county sheriff's departments, the U.S. Attorney's Office, the Cleveland branch of the FBI, the RTA and more local law enforcement agencies. The app allows users to find the department nearest to them and submit information, photos or videos through a text, a phone call or other means. The app also lists the type on …

Samuel Johnson, 49, of Cleveland Heights accused of raping girl in his home

Teens charged with burglary April 8 — Someone reported a burglary at the 1100 block of Oxford Road, and that they had seen two males carrying a bag near the time of the burglary. The victim described the two to police and an officer later spotted two teens matching the description. When police conducted a search, they found items belonging to the victim and arrested the two — 18-year-old Stefon White and a 16-year-old male — for burglary. 17-year-old Cleveland Heights male charged for multiple burglaries
Cleveland Heights Police arrested a 17-year-old male in connection with several burglaries in the city over the past several weeks. Detectives say the teen stole $20,000 in jewelry from a home on the 2200 block of Coventry Road on March 19 and sold some of it to a pawn shop, where police recovered it. During a warrant search of the teen's bedroom, police found evidence from other crimes reported in the area, including a theft from mail on the 2100 block of Lennox Road, a burglary on the 2200 block of Tudor, a theft from a car on the 2200 block of Bellfield and an incident where a woman reported that two males shot a BB gun at her on Grandview Avenue. You can't make this stuff up. Wow, stealing shorts, really? I understand most people keep their valuables in their pants, but to request them at gun point that's an all time low. They were all 18 too just out of high school. I suspect these three didn't attend class much. Thank God one of them didn't get nervous and improperly discharge that firearm.
