Cheese in Fairlawn called police to report someone parked outside the exit smoking weed in their car. When the officer arrived, he walked up to the car and stated he could smell marijuana smoke coming out. The officer asked the woman inside, 30, of Akron, if she was smoking weed and she turned over a half-burnt marijuana cigar. She then gave officers a false name and age. She ain't no "call"aback girl- A Cuyahoga Falls woman knew something was amiss when 100 people called her on Jan. 6 looking for a "good time." According to Cuyahoga Falls police, the surge of gentlemen callers was no fluke; it appears someone created a "Casual Encounters" Craigslist ad using the woman's name and phone number without her permission. The woman became aware of the ad on Jan. 9, called police and said she had a suspect; however, the initial lead didn't pan out. Police are still investigating. This …

A video worth fighting for - A very private matter between a Twinsburg couple got interesting after it led to a call to police to break up a domestic dispute, according to Twinsburg police. On Dec. 27, officers went to an apartment to break up a boyfriend and girlfriend who were arguing over a sex tape, according to the police report. The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force has recently updated this list of wanted fugitives.
The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force recently released an updated list of the most wanted fugitives in the region. The charges for the men above include rape, homicide and drug trafficking. To see more information about each fugitive in the “Dangerous Dozen,” click on their picture above or visit the task force’s website. According to a press release from the task force, this list was created in May 2010. Since then, 106 fugitives have been featured. The task force has closed or apprehended the fugitives in 95 of those cases. The most recent fugitive added to the list is Byron James, who is wanted for homicide, according to the press release. The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is looking for information on Anthony Dowell II.
The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is on the lookout for Anthony Dowell II. Dowell is wanted by the U.S. Marshals and the Shaker Heights Police Department for attempted murder. According to a press release from the task force, Dowell shot—and nearly killed—a friend after a fight over a dice game back in October. The friend got on an RTA bus and got away. Dowell, 30, is about 5’11” and 170 pounds. He is thought to be hiding in the Cleveland area, and he used to live near the 1000 block of Roanoke Road in Cleveland Heights. Individuals can call the task force with information at 1-866-4WANTED or text a tip to 847411 (tip411), keyword WANTED. Tips can stay anonymous, and there is a reward available.

Driving the Tour de Franzia- On Dec. 21, officers pulled over a car for weaving in its lanes on Graham Road, according to a Stow police report. A 17-year-old from Independence was driving and had a passenger, also 17, from Independence, in the car, the report stated. Officers asked the driver to perform and breath test, and she blew at 0.107. The legal limit is 0.08. Officers also found a box of Franzia wine in the car, the report stated. A 34-year-old Lakewood man was charged with drunken driving after he stopping to ask a Solon police officer for directions. At about 1 a.m. on Dec. 8, a Solon police officer parked at a gas station was approached by a man after a car pulled in behind him. Perry L. Allen, 34, approached the officer to get directions to a nearby business. According to the report, Allen smelled like alcohol and had slurred speech. He failed the field …

Be carefeul, she bites- Bath Township Police got a few calls on Nov. 24 about a driver who was all over the road on I-77 north. Officers caught up with Michelle Mahnen, 39, of Wadsworth, in the 77 north rest area. She was attempting to get back on the highway.
