This image has gotten quite a bit of buzz on Cleveland Heights Patch's Facebook page. I can see why! The amazing photo was taken by quick-thinking Patch user Christine McBurney in Cleveland Heights and uploaded to our community photo gallery. She saw the deer at her Rydalmount Road house in late December. "I saw movement out of the corner of my eye and I thought it was people jogging!" Barefoot and wearing pajamas, McBurney grabbed her camera and took just one shot of those eight deer — which, if you ask me, turned out great. She shared it on her own Facebook page, got a great response, and shared it with Cleveland Heights Patch. Several days later, I spotted it and thought it was so cool that I made it the cover photo on Cleveland Heights…

Joe is advertising manager for five Patch sites.
Joe Strailey had 12 years of ad sales experience when he started as an ad manager for five Northeast Ohio Patch sites in August of 2011. His favorite part of the job, he said, is working with small businesses. “I love helping to put the spotlight on small businesses,” he said. “I live in a Patch town, and I would want to support small businesses — someone who has taken that risk to put their entire life savings to chase their dream. I really admire that.” Joe, a Painesville native who now lives in Mentor with his wife Karissa and dog Roxie, worked at Cleveland Scene Magazine for ten years before coming on board at Patch. Let's face it, most of what we do online is done on our mobile devices ... here's a tutorial on how to take and add pictures to Patch sites.
Patch always likes when the community contributes to the sites ... now it's ridiculously easy to do it on your cell phone while out in the community at those sporting and school events, eating at restaurants or while shopping.

I live close to Rydalmount & have also been seeing lots of deer lately. They have even been bedding down in my back yard. There have been deer in the Park Synagogue area, but now I think a lot are coming from the Oakwood Country Club where they are now constructing a shopping center.
