New CH-UH Schools Tiger Mascot: What Do You Think?

The school district is rolling out its new Tiger Nation mascot. Share your thoughts on the new image.

The Cleveland Heights-University Heights City School District unveiled its new "Tiger Nation" mascot at the School Board meeting Tuesday. Throughout the years, individual schools had their own mascots and colors. Once the district became "Tiger Nation," they created their own versions of the Tigers, said Angee Shaker, communications and community engagement director for CH-UH. "Some were fierce, some were babyish, some used a paw print, some used a tiger scratch. As part of our branding, we wanted to make sure it’s ours and professional," she said. “We felt this new and consistent tiger image would work across all grade levels PK-12. It’s something we can all be proud of.” Drew Dallet at Boom Creative designed the mascot using suggestions …

This logo works for elementary and maybe middle school, but definitely not a high school team logo. It should remain the original tiger logo. I agree with an earlier post to stop trying to fix things that don't need to be fixed.   more ›
