We asked people on Coventry Road how they responded when they heard Osama bin Laden was dead

President Barack Obama announced during a live broadcast late Sunday night from the White House that U.S. forces had killed Osama bin Laden. How did you react to the news?  Cleveland Heights Patch wanted to know what local residents thought. We asked where they were when they heard, how they found out, how they reacted to the news and what impact his death will have on national security. Local Leaders React to bin Laden's death

Cleveland Heights city officials and superintendent of the Cleveland Heights-University Heights School District respond to news that U.S. forces killed Osama bin Laden

Cleveland Heights Patch asked leaders in Cleveland Heights to respond to the news from President Barack Obama that U.S. forces killed Osama bin Laden. Here's what they said.  Cleveland Heights Mayor Ed Kelley:  "I was fortunate to be watching TV with three of my four sons and my wife.  We got to watch it all together. The bottom line is that it needed to happen, I’m glad it happened, and hopefully it will help us move toward more peace in the world we live in. Bin Laden had to pay for his sins. President Obama Announces Bin Laden Is Dead

U.S. forces killed Osama bin Laden Sunday, took body

President Barack Obama addressed the nation just after 11:30 p.m. Sunday to announce that U.S. troops killed Osama bin Laden in Pakistan and took his body. Obama said he received a tip in August, and that the operation he initiated was the result of months of investigation.  Obama spoke about the devastating images of Sept. 11, 2001, that killed "nearly 3,000 citizens." The most painful are the private ones, he said, the "empty seat at the dinner table." "His demise should be welcomed by all who believe in peace and human dignity," Obama said.  U.S. forces killed the al Qaeda leader in a firefight, he said, and no U.S. troops were injured.  People gathered outside of the White House and Ground Zero cheering and singing patriotic songs …

I love the fact they shot him in the head, shot his human shield--she had no reason being with him other than she was as dirty as he, and then tossed his body in the water so he couldn't be a martyr. I love the USA!   more ›
