Cleveland Heights Property Taxes Rise in 2013

Here are the numbers that make up your property tax bill this year

Cleveland Heights property taxes will rise by 3 mills this year, according to data provided by The Plain Dealer and Cleveland.com. Homeowners will pay $3,415 for every $100,000 in home value this year, up from $3,321 last year, according to the database. Overall millage stands at 111.5 this year, compared to 108.46 in 2012. The top rates in the state belonged to two neighboring areas — the Shaker Square portion of Cleveland in the Shaker Heights School District and the City of Shaker Heights. Cleveland Heights' rate might have been higher if the school board would have approved the master facilities bond issue last year.
