Jeff Coryell is a former attorney who represented government agencies as an Assistant U.S. Attorney and Assistant Attorney General. After a successful ten-year legal career he returned to school for a Masters in Fine Art degree and spent the next twelve years as an artist and art teacher, operating his painting studio as a small business and teaching art-related courses at Cuyahoga Community College, Cleveland State University, and Youngstown State University. For the past five years Jeff has been engaged full-time as a progressive political writer, organizer and consultant, including serving as President of the Cleveland Heights Democrats, working as the New Media Director for a campaign for the U.S. Senate, and founding a successful statewide political web site. At the present time he is running for Cleveland Heights City Council and is preparing to resume his career as an artist. He lives with spouse Phyllis L. Crocker and two golden retrievers in the Fairfax neighborhood and is a seventeen-year Cleveland Heights resident.
